George Harms Construction
| Project Company: |
George Harms Construction |
| Problem: | Harms Construction needed to drive PZ35 doubles 25-30' long sheets for bridge footings. The sheets needed to be driven between the main line of the railroad, the old Route 1&9 highway and the approach path to the main runway at Newark International while traffic continued to flow on all three. |
| Solution: | An extension boom was made by Harms for their CAT 245 excavator. The extension allowed the operator to reach out and up further than with the standard stick. This makes their 216E even more versatile. |
| Result: | By using the 216E George Harms Construction was able to avoid working only at nights and on weekends due to boom height restrictions placed by the railroad, the highway, and the airport |
| What the Client says | Without the 216E the project would have fallen behind |
