ICE® 18EC Keeps it Cool in Peru

Constructora M&S S.A.C, based in Peru, is the main contractor for the ambitious Lima Infrastructure Development Project. This project aims to enhance the city's foundational support structures, ensuring long-term stability and growth for the region. Constructora M&S S.A.C is responsible for overseeing the entire construction process, including the foundational support structures. This project is a significant step towards improving infrastructure and promoting sustainable development in the region.

Overseen by a collaboration between local authorities and international engineering firms, this project's primary goal is to build robust and reliable foundational support structures to enhance the region's infrastructure while simultaneously protecting the local environment and supporting the area's economy.

Planning for this monumental task was completed in early 2023, involving detailed site assessments and environmental impact studies. In mid-2023, construction began and is expected to be completed by late 2024. This phase includes the installation of piles, retaining walls, and other foundational structures using an ICE® 18EC Water-Cooled Vibratory Driver/Extractor paired with an ICE® Model 4 Pump Unit that the contractor rented from their International Construction Equipment, Inc. (ICE®) Sales & Service team.

Known for its high efficiency and reliability, the ICE® 18EC water-cooled hammer and ICE® Model 4 water cooled-pump unit are ideal for demanding tasks, making them the perfect selection for this project. Designed and built by the experts at International Construction Equipment, Inc. (ICE®) to handle heavy-duty requirements, this equipment ensures stability and durability of the structures being built. The specialized water-cooled system of the ICE® 18EC ensures optimal performance and longevity, even in harsh conditions. Its high vibration isolation provides effective pile driving and extraction with minimal disturbance to surrounding areas, making it an optimal choice. The ICE® Model 4 water pump provides water flow for ICE® vibrators equipped with a water-cooling circuit and complements the hammer by permitting continuous vibrator operation on harder driving or extracting jobs - crucial for maintaining the pace and quality of heavy construction work.

This combination of advanced equipment is helping to ensure the success of the construction project in Peru, contributing to the development of robust and reliable infrastructure.

The project in Peru involves the construction of new infrastructure, which includes the installation of pipe piles for the foundational support structures, extraction of old or temporary piles, and sheet pile installation essential for creating retaining walls and barriers to contain and prevent the spread of contaminated materials.

International Construction Equipment, Inc. (ICE®) is elated to provide equipment that is crucial for ensuring the stability and durability of the new infrastructure being developed in Peru. The use of advanced machinery like the ICE® 18EC and Model 4 pump unit highlights the project's commitment to efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. Amazing work, Constructora M&S S.A.C! The Lima Infrastructure Development Project is a cornerstone for Peru's future growth and development, addressing both immediate needs and long-term strategic goals.

As this portion of the project concludes, the residents and visitors of Peru can look forward to a more connected and sustainable urban environment. The successful completion of this project not only marks a significant achievement for Constructora M&S S.A.C and ICE® but also sets a benchmark for future infrastructure developments in the region.
