ICE® 22 Drives a Good Foundation

Editor: Ashley Steele

Swedesboro, NJ joined the Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with Woolwich Township, Gloucester County Utilities Authority, and the Gloucester County Improvement Authority for conveyance of sewage and the construction of a new pump and main station.  Under this agreement, the Borough of Swedesboro is obligated to build, own, and operate the station which will connect to the larger facility on King's Highway.

Although this agreement was made in April of 2020, construction has been slow due to the ongoing pandemic.
In order to
move the project along, Tomar Construction out of East Brunswick, NJ was contracted to construct the new pump stations and sewage plants.  The ICE® 22 Vibratory Pile Driver/Extractor easily installs the sheet piles that Tomar is driving.  These piles act as the foundation for sewage conveyance, properly installed and tested so that the sewage is transported safely.

This
joint effort MOU will allow these cities to share the burden of proper sewage treatment.  All of the cities in the agreement have big plans for future neighborhoods, commercial and retail spaces.  ICE® plans to be there to help build these thriving communities in the New Jersey area!
