The Delaware Memorial Bridge stands as one of the most vital transportation arteries in the Mid‑Atlantic, carrying millions of travelers each year between Delaware and New Jersey. Any construction work on or around this structure carries enormous regional significance; not only for safety and longevity, but also for the economic health of the surrounding communities. The recent cofferdam and structural support work near New Castle, DE, represents another important investment in the bridge's future. While the full project cost and timeline have not been publicly detailed, the scope of the work underscores the ongoing commitment to maintaining one of the busiest twin‑span bridges on the East Coast.

The hammer's power and reliability made it an ideal choice for the confined marine setting, ensuring efficient penetration and tight interlock for the cofferdam structure. The setup was complemented by Hydrauli‑Flex™ hoses, which help maintain consistent hydraulic flow and reduce heat buildup; an advantage during long driving cycles. Whether rented or owned, the ICE® 28 proved to be the right tool for maintaining productivity and precision on a project where timing and accuracy are everything.
