Port Everglades, a vital hub for international cargo, cruise, and energy transport, is undergoing a transformative upgrade with the Bulkhead Replacement Project: Group 1, valued at $80 million. This ambitious effort, set to span from June 2024 through late 2026, targets the replacement of aging infrastructure originally built in the 1950s. The project includes 2,240 linear feet of bulkhead replacement, with a special focus on the North Bulkhead at the Entrance Channel (NBEC); a critical stretch for maritime traffic. The new combi-wall system will support deeper channel dredging and ensure structural integrity for decades to come, with a projected lifespan of 75+ years.

(ICE®). This powerful combination was selected for its ability to handle large-diameter piles with precision and reliability. The ICE® 110, known for its high eccentric moment and robust performance, is ideally suited for the deep foundation work required in this marine environment. Additionally, Hydrauli-Flex™ hoses were also used, ensuring efficient energy transfer and minimal vibration impact on surrounding structures.
