Nestled along the picturesque shores of Tampa Bay, the Safety Harbor Marina is undergoing a major transformation aimed at enhancing public access and waterfront infrastructure. Spearheaded by the City of Safety Harbor, this ambitious renovation project began in July 2025 and is slated for completion by December 2026. The scope includes the full demolition and reconstruction of the existing marina, with 288 new pilings being installed to support a modernized pier structure. Once completed, the upgraded marina will offer improved functionality and long-term durability, ensuring it remains a cherished community asset for generations to come.

Selected by the City for their extensive experience and reputation in marine construction, Shoreline Foundation, Inc. is the contractor for this high-profile project. Known for their precision and reliability, Shoreline has taken on numerous waterfront infrastructure projects across Florida. For the Safety Harbor Marina renovation, they've deployed their newest barge, aptly named Fortitude, which has been instrumental in navigating the basin and executing piling installations with efficiency and care. Shoreline's commitment to quality and innovation makes them an ideal fit for this transformative endeavor.

To tackle the demanding piling work, Shoreline Foundation is utilizing an ICE® 44 vibratory hammer paired with an ICE® 580T power unit. This powerful combination is being used to drive the 288 pilings that will support the new marina structure, including the central pier and smaller finger piers. The ICE® 580T provides the necessary hydraulic power to keep operations running smoothly, while Hydrauli-Flex™ hoses ensure optimal performance and durability in the marine environment. Together, this equipment setup delivers the reliability and force needed to meet the project's structural demands, as well as reflecting Shoreline's dedication to using top-tier tools to deliver lasting results.

As the Safety Harbor Marina project progresses, both the local community and International Construction Equipment extend their appreciation to Shoreline Foundation, Inc. for their expertise and dedication. The revitalized marina will not only enhance recreational opportunities but also strengthen the city's coastal infrastructure. ICE® is proud to support Shoreline in this endeavor and looks forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have on residents, visitors, and the broader waterfront community.
