Taiwan's transformation over the past few decades has been nothing short of remarkable. Once rooted in agriculture, this island nation has surged forward to become the world's 20th largest economy. In 2022 alone, Taiwan's total trade volume soared to an impressive $907 billion, setting new records for both exports and imports. Its top trading partners--China, the United States, and Japan--account for over 40% of this activity. And with 90% of its trade moving by sea, Taiwan's ports are the lifeblood of its economy. Major players like Evergreen Marine and Yang Ming Marine Transport keep goods flowing in and out of the region around the clock. 

To support this ever-growing demand, Taiwan continues to invest in expanding its maritime infrastructure. One such project was recently taken on by I-San Construction Co. LTD, a trusted name in foundation engineering since 1978. During a recent 2023 port expansion, I-San turned to a familiar partner: the International Sales Team at International Construction Equipment, Inc. (ICE®). Tasked with installing a combination wall using one-meter diameter pipes and interlocking sheet piles, I-San selected the powerful ICE® Model 110 Vibratory Hammer for the job.
