Serving as a specialized subcontractor for Halley Engineering, MCM brings an unmatched level of technical foresight and field expertise to the complex demands of the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) rigorous standards. The contractor's team was selected because of their proven track record in managing intricate traffic shifts and minimizing localized construction impacts during active roadway developments. By implementing a highly structured approach to both internal planning and external agency coordination, MCM ensures that the heavy structural phases advance seamlessly while maintaining the safety of the thousands of motorists traveling the corridor daily. 

To successfully establish the bridge substructure, MCM deployed a high-performance ICE® 44 vibratory hammer and an ICE® HB-30 Hydraulic Rotary Head Drill, as well as an ICE® Diesel Impact Hammer, all from International Construction Equipment, Inc. (ICE®). This powerful equipment combination was strategically selected to drive the heavy foundation piles through tough Florida strata, ensuring the critical piers achieve maximum stability. The vibratory hammer and hydraulic rotary drill were paired with rugged Hydrauli-Flex™ hoses to maintain a flawless supply of pressurized fluid from the power pack to the line, allowing the crew to maintain peak operational efficiency without mechanical delays. Working in tight alignment with the project schedule, the pile installation team focused first on driving the piles for the initial exterior bridge widening before systematically transitioning across the alignment to prepare for the upcoming interior structural phases.
