Editor: Ashley Steele
ICE® 28 vibratory driving 35' long PZ27 piles for a storm draining culvert to protect new housing development in Bridgeville, Delaware. Job was completed before deadlines using both an ICE® 28 Vibratory Hammer and an ICE ® Excavator Mounted 6E Vibratory Hammer.
Zack's Excavating Inc. was using an ICE® 28 Vibratory Pile Driver/Extractor to install storm drainage for an upcoming housing development in Bridgeville, Delaware. The ICE® 28 vibratory hammer drove 35' heavy duty "Z" sheet piles to create a culvert. Storm Water culvert is built to divert any heavy flooding or high water away from the residential site that the storm drainage system was not able to dissipate.
The job was completed in a mere 3 weeks. Once this system was completed the culvert piles were pulled using the ICE® 28 Vibratory Driver/Extractor. This project has created the way for a new and safe residential housing development to be constructed. The storm drainage solution will ensure flooding and higher drainage waters are moved away from the residence.
